They didn't see that there were any specific things about management or vetting that would have saved these horses. You don't happen to like that conclusion--but that was what they found. You are ASSUMING that would happen...and again I respectfully disagree. Jim, I've seen more character assassinations than Carter has little pills that started with no more than a speculation that some very mild thing "might" have happened. I see no reason to see why unsupported speculation coming from the veterinary committee would be treated any differently. And I respect the fact that if they weren't able to find something concrete, they had the guts to say so, instead of trying to come up with some half-assed excuse to explain the situation away and soothe their detractors.
