RE: [RC] horse fatalities, 2002 - Steph Teeter

Bob - Maybe what you (and Jim and others) are suggesting that AERC needs, is
an investigation, or analysis, that goes beyond the scope of the Veterinary
committee? It seems that the depth of information that you would like to see
includes factors beyond the veterinary accessment of the situation. I don't
think it's reasonable for a veterinary fatality report to be required to
include information on trail safety conditions, stabling conditions, or even
weather conditions. Yet possibly this is important information.

It will be interesting to see what the Horse Welfare committee comes up
with. There may still be room for improvement, but I don't think we need to
ask more of the veterinary committee.

Steph

(nice bike!)
