Re: [RC] Insurance (was Newbie here) - EliteAlso, if you are an AHA member there is some liability insurance that goes with that membership. Linda Is it necessary to up my insurance to something that will cover more if and when we begin traveling to rides?I hate to deal with insurance:( But when you talk to your insurance guys, make sure they know that AERC requires that ride managers carry insurance on AERC sanctioned rides (naming AERC as an insured of course:) and provides a reference policy for ride managers who wish to use it. While it does not cover the enterants to the event, the event itself (Ride Managers, Officials, Land Owners, etc.) are generally covered under the ride insurance. Individual riders personal insurance is a seperate set of issues, but as you shop for your personal coverage, knowing that the event is covered may be of interest. Truck insurance, trailier insurance, health/accedent, personal liabilty insurance, acts of incredible stupidity insurance, ... the list is endless.... johnt =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
