I second this also -- big time.

The requirement is that there be an award for each rider who completes
the ride.  That means something that you get that you do *not* get if
you do not complete.  It doesn't have to be much, I've gotten paper
certificates for completing a 50 -- but it has to be *something* and
it has to not be given to you until after you've *earned* your
completion.
