[RC] Hind legs filling - Karen J ZelinskyYes, yes, yes!!! Out of that stall!!! I work on all kinds of horses (massage-wise) - show horses, endurance horses, race horses, and funny how they evolved to function just a "tad" better turned out 24/7!! The stalled horses go batty mind and bod-wise, right vets?? ::)) Cribbing, weaving, stocking-up, cranky, wired. You know that feeling in a work cubicle -- tied to the chair all day? The poor stalled horses can't do their take on natural "adjustments" - i.e., rolling, running, playing, etc. Sorry, I'm overreacting - just back from doing some "stalled" versions of horses at the Pennsylvania's Devon horse show. (good example: saddlebred stallion all rigged up and kept in stall ALL the time - gotta keep those weighted shoes just right, and the head carriage, and the tail, .....) It's just not enough. Our horses don't have big pastures but they are out 24/7 and can run and play at will. They would go nuts locked up in a stall of ANY size. I hope it's possible for you to get him out. In my opinion, THAT is what he needs.
