[RC] [Guest] Swiss boots - Ridecamp Guest

heila Larsen Sheila_Larsen@xxxxxxx

Swiss boots need to be fitted to the horse. If the boots are a little small
they can be warmed with a hair dryer and stretched out to fit. Cutting a
toe slot seems to give the hoof a place to go. If they are fitted correctly
they should stay on. If they twist when the horse goes in a circle they are
too big. If they are too big, ya gotta get a different size. For the
pleasure rider they should work quite well. Over the miles for endurance
riding they may rub around the coronary band. Pressure marks on the heel
bulbs are normal and don't seem to bother the horses. They have good
traction too.
