Re: [RC] Found in Woods? - LindakIt was in the late 50's, and my best friend, Judy, and I were riding in the mountains north of Sunland, Calif. We had been riding for four/five hours when we came to a small clearing full of grass and there sat 4 or 5 full-sized empty train cars from the Barnum & Bailey circus (their name was in large letters on the top sides of the cars). One car was the type with the steel bars that they kept large cats in. Empty train cars aren't the big of a deal BUT no railroad ran up there, so I haven't a clue as to how these full-sized railroad cars got there, unless they were helicoptered up in pieces????? Anyway we had a picnic, let our horses graze, and climbed on/around the RR cars, and wondered.............. I do remember the movie "The Greatest Show on Earth" was made around that time (the 50's) and thought possibly these RR cars were part of their movie set. If anyone else has ever seen these particular RR cars I'd sure like to know.
