the reason is that the whole 9 years of the ridecamp archives are being
re-built. we'll see the outcome. I haven't done this for a long time b/c it
takes 6 or so hours. I decided (somewhat on a whim). when it finishes, they
will be searchable again.

The search does not seem to work at all now.  I just tried
searching for messages containing the word 'shirt' entered int
he last day (should pick up 'Lost Shirt' message), but got
nothing.

intermitant problems are hard to find. this one has been

both.


Plus, the archives search thing has been very difficult for

many reasons for

many years.

I didn't want to use an external full text indexer b/c the

archives are full

of email addresses, and these I did not want to be indexed by

an external

crawler.

I'll look in to fixing this up.

(ps. do the following to search:

go to: http://www.endurance.net/search.html

  and enter "Electrolyte".

Click on "www" and hit search again.

you won't get the archives with the above search though.
