[RC] Tick Paralysis - CatThom2This sounds exactly like what happened to my springer spaniel when I first moved to Florida. I worked nights and when I got home at midnight she had absolutely no control of her rear end. I palpated her and there was no pain and all her vitals were good. I called the emergency vet in Tallahassee and they were baffled. The next morning I took her to the local vet who said it was most likely tick paralysis, gave her antibiotics and within a few days she was fine. I don't know if you have ticks there, but it sure sounds the same. Good luck!
