Re: [RC] neck surgery - Merrybenbut the procedure of going in from the front of the neck is non-conventional and the Doctor Wrobell, neurosurgon who was instrumental in developing the surgery at UCLA was not Stewarts neurosurgon, but a referral. Mine was done in summer of 1991 and was an anterior cervical laminectomy with fusion at two levels. They did it from the front and used cadaver bones. I know this is neither a new procedure nor an experimental one. It is even pictured in the medical books. But I am glad I did not see how they moved stuff around to get to he spine before I had the surgery done. The incision is really quite small and they put it in a fold of the neck so that it is barely noticable.....mb =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
