[RC] over head ties - June Scheunemann & Mike BernsdorfI know there are alot of you that don't like electric fencing but, I'm still for that way of containment at a ride. Like I stated before we use the 1 1/2 inch white tape and use 4 ft. step in posts (from Premiere fencing)and then put up 2 strands and we make sure the electric is working. This past weekend a friend had the over head swing arm ties and her one horse got the leg over the rope and ended up siting down on the rope ...bending the over-head arm and the panic snap was unable to be released....thank goodnes for hoof knives as Mike ran over and was able to cut the rope.....mare came out of it OK as she didn't panic too much once she realized she was down.
