Best twitch we have found is a cheapie spring clamp (rubber on the flat
ends) from the dollar store (2/$1!).  Fits right on the nose, doesn't cut
off circulation, you don't have to hold it, don't get knocked out by a
wooden handle...MOST horses will start to totally relax and drop their head
within a minute or two.  Some simply get distracted playing with the thing
on the end of their nose and some that are too smart wipe it off on their
handler!
