[RC] Blundstone boots - Glenda R. SnodgrassShortly after recommending lightweight Vasque hiking boots on this list a few weeks ago, my boots fell apart after several years of hard use and I had to buy new ones. I decided to go back to my first love, Blundstones, and I'm glad I did. Not only do they feel soooo good on my feet, but the elastic-top pull-on style has an added safety feature in that if your boot gets caught in the stirrup, your foot comes out of the boot! (trust me, I know this) My Blunnies don't have as much arch support as the hiking boots, but this can be fixed with inserts. They're still not quite as good for walking long distances as the Vasque, but since I hope not to have to do this when I'm supposed to be riding <g> the Blunnies are the best choice for me now. They also do well in English stirrups for lessons, while the Vasque boots are a bit clumsy in irons. Just another boot report. :) -- Glenda R. Snodgrass Before you begin, consider ...
