Re: [RC] Sunscreen for Riders - Glenda R. SnodgrassWhat sort of sunscreen products does anyone use while riding for their faces and any exposed areas of skin? On my face, I use the "Face SPF 30 Sun Block" from Clinique. It's a bit expensive, but it's waterproof and sweatproof and *really* stays on all day, even when riding in heavy humidity (I'm on the Gulf Coast). I have a lot of skin allergies and this is the rare product I can use without any problems. On my arms, I can use cheap stuff like Banana Boat (no Coppertone, I'm allergic to that). If I'll be in and out of wooded areas, I use the Off Skintastic combo sunscreen & bug repellent. It smells *horrible* but it really works both as a sunscreen and as a bug repellent, keeping those yellow flies and deer flies and skeeters off my delicate skin. :) I cannot wear regular bug repellant (spray Off) in the sun or I break out in a rash, but for some reason that combo cream works fine. Wearing a long-sleeve very lightweight white cotton shirt is also a good thing to keep both bugs and sun off your arms. -- Glenda R. Snodgrass Before you begin, consider ...
