Re: [RC] [RC] Ticks and Horses - MtnRondiWhen we used to live in an area where we had millions of ticks, I would dust the horse's mane and tail with regular dog flea & tick powder. I would try to get the powder down near the base of the hairs. Then I would lightly dust the inside of the horse blanket. I would find dead ticks later and no more big ugly oozing sores in the tail or along the base of the mane.I have no idea if this is safe or not... maybe one of the vets can comment on that. All I know is that it worked for us and there were no side effects that I could see. Bonnie So. Calif.
