I think I read the same article. It's in the
current issue of The Horse magazine. Based on what they described, the
fish are frozen in a lumb and the horses eat them. The mentioned there is
nothing like seeing a horse with the tail of a fish sticking out of its mouth
and watching it disappear.
The current article won't be available for a month
or so, but a previous article came out in October. Someone else gave the
article number in an earlier message. Look up Carnivorous and you should
find it.
i read an article about the icelandic horses, said they are fed fish in
the winter, because there isnt much else to eat. dont know how it is
prepared, maybe ground into some kind of meal. interesting.
