Re: [RC] [RC] Arab/QH as a distance horse? - Timothy WordenJennifer, I hope to have a good answer to this question this year. I've started conditioning my Quarab for endurance. He's out of a Bay El Bey son and a Foundation QH mare. We where planning on selling him, but now I've decided to see what he's got. He runs all the time in the pasture, out runs my current endurance mare, and even seems less winded after running for a while. My mare and I did our first 55 at Sandhills a few weeks ago. Finished last but got our completion. Then tried the 50 a week later at LeatherWood. She got tired by 35 miles and I thought it best to call it a day while she was still at a good state of eating and drinking. So she's getting a good rest while I see what this Arab/QH gelding has. We'll do a slow 50 at Liberty Run in Georgia on Memorial Weekend. If he turns out to be as good as I hope, then my mare may be up for sale. Tim Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
