This is a hoax, or likely to be a hoax.  There is a warning on various
equine sales boards about it.

If you do try it (who knows) make absolutely sure that you have the money
first in your hand, and that there is no way it can be taken from you.

PS: In some ways it is a variation on the "Nigerian Letter".

Several classifieds advertisers have received this response today, I

suspect

it is a hoax. I can't control buyer/seller arrangments for online
classifeds, but caution sellers to be wary.
