Re: [RC] Horse getting loose while bridling - Stephanie E CaldwellI'm a poor kid who couldn't afford Biothane, and my rope halter rubbed sores under the knots on my horses face. So, I have a regular nylon halter and a flat braid nylon bridle. I have a little loop thing that hooks through my bridle's browband and goes back and hooks to the rings where my throat snap hooks. It works great and the entire set up cost around 15.00. Use either a thin rope halter....or a biothane halter with clip on bit....or halter with add-on headstall that consists of poll strap with browband that clips around the halter. I would never, ever consider riding on the trail without a halter on underneath. Then you have it to tie to on the trail. Why on earth take the halter off?
