Re: [RC] [RC] Dead Bluebird - DESERTRYDR1Shelley, I work for a local health department in the Tri-Cities. Two horses in WA State diagnosed with WNV last year, both recovered. We expect to see LOTS of cases here this year, and strongly recommend that you get the two shot series ASAP. See the article that Louise Burton posted from www.TheHorse.com. Here in the Tri-Cities I sent two crows to the state lab to be tested. In WA they are accepting only Raptors and Crows and Magpies (and others of the crow family) for testing at this time. When it becomes obvious that the disease is widespread in WA they will quit testing the birds, the only reason for testing the birds is to determine if the disease has hit the state yet. jeri =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
