First of all, thank you Ridecampers for your kind messages during my Arabian gelding's recent illness and death. Your heartfelt thoughts really helped during this difficult time. Regarding the lab reports on Xala.  Rabies was ruled out and the other tissue samples which were examined did not point to any specific cause of his agony. At the time of the post mortem exam, the vet did observe that his liver seemed enlarged and that the cecum was filled with blood. Somehow it would be easier to accept if a specific cause could be pinpointed. Again, Ridecampers, thank you to all for your help during this time.--Liz
