[RC] Adequan ? - Celeste ComfortO.K. we could really use some help from those who are in the know. Is Adequan the same as Chondroprotec? I think the Chondroprotec is the generic form of Adequan, and if it is, why does the label on the vial say that it's for topical use? (pressure ulcers, partial or full thickness wounds ,venous stasis ulcers ,1st & 2nd degree burns ,Trauma injuries ,Surgical incisions ,Donar sites) Do you need a prescription from a vet to get it? Where would be the best place to get a good price for it? My girl friend has a 27 year old gelding who's starting to get a little stiff in the hind quarters. He's doing pretty good for being 27 years old, but she wants to do everything in her power to keep him happy and comfortable. She talked to her vet, and he said it would be a good idea to put him on the Adequan, but it's around $60.00 a shot. Thanks for reading this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
