Re: [RC] [RC] Future prospects for bowed tendon/pulled suspensory? - DeAnn SchneppleLucy, I don't want to bum you out anymore than you already are, but my own personal experience with a bowed tendon (front leg) wasn't good. I had a very well built Missouri Foxtrotter. He was my "first" endurance horse (poor guy!!). Anyway we just did LD rides and very slow at that. He also was a horse that was considered "hot". I don't know if that had anything to do with the bowing of the tendon, but anyway when I discovered the bowed tendon I tried the confinement and leg wrapping (both things that my vet recommended) and the bow went down after about 9 months, but he never recovered in my mind that I would risk doing endurance with him. I eventually sold him to a very light weight trail rider and that was 8 years ago- he's 24 now and still being ridden, but not doing endurance. BTW the bowed tendon never did re-appear!!DeAnn From: Lucy Chaplin Trumbull <elsie@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] Future prospects for bowed tendon/pulled suspensory?
