[RC] Advice on possible breathing problems? - Sarah WI am scheduled to go pick up a few colts this weekend. The seller just called to advise of the vet check outcome - one of the colts was injuried in the neck while out with the herd. He has no visible bumps, but they can feel bumps on the inside of the neck under the skin. The vet is concerned about damage to the respiratory pathway, but does not know without further probing. From what they could tell, the horse is not in any pain to the touch, and they drained the bumps to only find clear fluids. The seller is offering another colt to me at the same price if I decide not to take this one because of this injury. Has anyone had any experience with this type of injury? What are the chances of severe damage that will effect the breathing process? Any advice is appreciated, I have to let her know what I will do in the next couple hours so she has time to get another health certificate pulled if I decide to take the other colt.
