[RC] re: trot-out for STUBBORN horses - Teresa Van HoveHi Dawn, One trick thats helped with my mare for loading and trotting out, is pulling the lead rope in a loop over her nose. We had a boarder who showed me this one. If they dont come the rope blocks the nostrils some. First session should be in a round pen in case the horse panics and wants to run back, and is just teaching them to come to you to release the pressure on the nose, but my smart, willful mare caught on real fast and she doesn't just stick her toes in and ignore me when I do this. Good Luck, Teresa and Shade (I'm hoping that strong will may be useful later) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
