Yes, someone else mentioned that riding in the open is different than riding
in a wooded area. Never thought about that and think I can see the
difference. What really helped me the most on the 100 mile ride was, since
the ride was local I was able to ride the last loop a few weeks before the
ride. Knowing what the loop looked like in the light, how long it was, what
type of terrain and how it rode, was a great help! Still not a big fan of
lights though. Oh, and I do know how fortunate I was to have such a
beautiful moon and clear night on my first 100! I'm spoiled now :)
