Anna,       I don't profess that this is the best way to haul a horse, but this is what I do.  I happen to have a 2 horse front load.  When I go to a ride I normally only haul one horse.  Especially if it is a long distance.  I am able to secure the center divider off to one side making the area that my horse can stand in a little more than 3/4 of the floor area.  I do not tie her at all.  I have noticed that when I haul her like this when I open the door she is usually standing in more of a slant load direction rather than standing straight ahead.       This works well for me and my mare usually seems to ride OK that way.  Just a thought for you 2 horse trailer folks.     Becky Rohwer ----- Original Message ----- From: drhopkins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, November 03, 2002 8:28 AM To: InlineMom3@xxxxxxx Cc: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [RC] Accident on way to Oroville, best way to trailer a horse     Thank God everyone is okay.  I have a question about your horse in the trailer.  Was he tied?  Was he in a slant or a more open box stall (ie. two slant stalls open for more room)?  I read that it is best to leave them as much room as possible and not to tie them.  Obviously what you did worked best for your accident.  As a newbie, I was wondering how you and other riders haul your horses to keep them safe?
