I know someone that jumps out and runs up to the offending car and bangs on their window and cusses them out ( a woman). Course, in these days of road rage you could die that way. I confess one day when a dressed to the 9's middle age blonde "lady" in her Lexus cut us off and slammed her brakes on, causing us to slide, I did it too, I lept out of my seat ,ran up to her car and banged on her window and called her an "Idiot". "don't you realise trailers can't stop like cars and you made my horses slam into the trailer?" She looked shocked and afraid. Hope she learned a lesson, But, I haven't done it since , cause it isn't really a good example for my kids, (and I really don't want to get shot, >g<).Laurie and Rascal (but I did feel vindicated that day). ----- Original Message ----- From: Susan Young Casey Sent: Wednesday, November 06, 2002 8:10 AM To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [RC] Accident on way to Oroville, best way to trailer a horse Obviously, your research saved yours and your horse's lives. Thank goodness you had the good sense to purchase the best and drive safely.
How many times have any of us been hauling horses, especially in town, and some so-n-so speeds up, cuts in front, the comes to an immediate and complete stop? I'm to the point where I'd LOVE to run into them just for the fun of it.
Like your husband says, you've got to be able to stop. Once stopped, I've been sorely tempted to get out and give a quick driving lesson.
Alas, my level-headed father and my calm husband keep me in line.
