The trailer I have before buying the slant load is
also a straight load 2-horse like Rebecca's.  I've
done the same thing and have simular outcome.
The folks I bought the older trailer from have TN
Walkers.  Their 2 horses were best buds.  So, they
took out the center divider all together and replaced
it with a bar.  I don't know if this is a good idea
but it worked for THEM.
