[RC] Gelding is no longer for sale - RhndLev
That gray half-Arabian that I told you guys about is no longer for sale. An
acquaintance was selling him and I thought that he would be a great prospect
for someone other than me, because I didn't want a gelding. The more I
thought about him and the more I saw him, the more I liked him. Finally, I
broke down and rode him, despite his owner's statements that he reared and
bucked. Well, he hasn't reared or bucked and he has the smoothest trot and
great athletic ability. So, I bought him.
After riding him several times for 8-10 miles, I can see where he MIGHT buck
or rear with a beginner, or with someone who wanted him to act like a quarter
horse. He's very sensitive, but that also means that in only three rides, he
has started picking up on very subtle cues. He loves to trot, he loves the
trail and is more eager to head down a new trail than he is to go back to the
barn. Today he stopped and tried to drink out of a puddle!!!!! FINALLY! A
horse that drinks on the trail. I'm really excited about him; can you tell?
