Re: [RC] Ringers in NC - AprJhn
Actually, some people are just really particular about every marking
being on the coggins papers.. When he was with his owner, my free lease
horse has all his marks put on all his coggins papers. His owner had a
fit when the horse had his coggins pulled without her present and the
papers only had a couple of his markings. And I fired a vet when he put
"flea-bitten grey" as the color of my RED ROAN Appaloosa on his coggins
papers. Granted, he was quite roaned, but he was NOT flea-bitten gray
and I told the vet the right color and the vet still put the wrong color.
I've since relaxed on that, but don't tell the owner of my free lease. ;)
Some people are particular. But a lot aren't.

international would be just as effective as a chip, but how many of
you mark every swirl your horse has, along with pink skin, etc. on
their coggins. Certainly not those who want to run a ringer.
