Sorry, Bob, but I do not agree with those claims. AIR they did things
like apportion the rent of the office on a per-rider instead of a
per-member basis. Why should non-members pay the office rent,
Executive's salaries, and such when they are not benefiting from those
costs?
The only real cost to the AERC *for a non-member* is the few seconds
of time required to enter the horse and rider into the ride results at
the computer, and the cost of disk storage for that entry. The latter
is utterly trivial, and unless we pay our data entry person well over
$100 per hour, the per-rider sanction fee more than covers the former.
