I like that statement, Anna, and I think that is what we all try to achieve
with our horses whether we ride them barefoot or shod. Obviously barefoot is
better. Unfortunately, our horses are not "wild" horses... reality would
dictate that if they were, they would have probably died long ago from the
bad feet that keep cropping up in our domesticated horse and let's face it,
normal isn't always a management issue. Man's fault, of course, but it
doesn't mean we can't strive to do better and make them more normal and more
healthy! :)
Some of us get a little defensive when it comes to our farriers...we know
that the good ones are hard to come by. Thank you for your public post to
RC. We can still all learn from each other even when we don't agree on the
issues. :)
