I didn't say people won't pay it ... I said I won't be a party to
collecting it.

But that's just it ... non-members do not receive equal benefits, not
even close.  The only thing they get is their name recorded in the
ride results, and the standard per-rider sanction fee more than covers
the cost of that.  The members get the benefits, and the non-members
are forced to subsidize the members via the fee.  It's a dodge to keep
dues down, to allow members to enjoy more benefits without paying for
them, nothing more.  And I will not be a party to that, I don't treat
people that way.
