I hate to say 'me too', but when we were looking
for a horse for David, I made him get on, even though he didn't know how to
ride, yet. We bought Jazzy for the sole reason that when he was wallering around
trying to get on her back, he kicked her square in her more delicate areas and
she stood still!!!

Another thing (not that
I am an expert or anything) ... if you are going for an experienced, layed
back horse for beginners/kids ... take one along (a green rider that is) ...
you ride the horse, see what you think, and then let the novice rider ride ...
sure helped a friend of mine trying to find a sane mature horse for her novice
husband ...
