Having been screwed in the past I now
ask for a full written disclosure and the vet files. If it is an endurance horse
I want a true history of competition and then phone and talk to people who know
the horse and previous owner.
When I sell a horse (which is not
often) I tell everything. Provide all vet files , shot and
worming records and anything else I can think of.
Nothing more irritating then having
someone say "I can't believe you bought him with his hock problems in the
past?"
After being told straight out that he
has never had a problem or lameness before.
Don't let friendship get in the way
of business which buying a horse is.
