DANG girl!! With what you and King do, you've already
WON! "...a couple of 100s..." King is a super horse!

I'll bet the dressage does help. Doing collected work
is a great conditioner. Endurance horses can get SO
strung out and won't develop those muscles to the
extent they need. I enjoy dressage and try to spell
words with the ring letters as I'm working...thus the
reason I can't spell worth a hout! Also, it trains my
    eye to look ahead.

I've noticed alot of endurance riders worried about
footing...like their horse can't see the rocks on
barren ground kind of stuff. Hunting has taught me to
look ahead and let the horse worry where he'll put his
feet. He wants to fall even less than you want him
to. By looking up and ahead, your balance is not so
heavy over his front and he can better balance
    himself.
