    [RC] WEG Horses - DVeritas

As to where the top horses, or riders were from, each of them dared to try and the better prepared, the luckier, the "destined" completed and excelled....regardless of their placing.
That someone's name ends in a vowel, or that someone is only 16 years old does not diminish the accomplishment.
Everyday, in print, on television, on radio we are inundated with jingoism....I sure don't like seeing it on RC or in endurance.
The ideals of America and being lucky enough to be American stand alone and require no defending, no defining, no posturing....endurance at the WEG was just a competition, one day, one race, one mudhole.
"Attaching" anything else to it actually diminishes the horse/human ideals to which most of us aspire.
         Frank.
