Any of you had to deal with this kind of injury. how long
did it take to heal?
Any advice would be appreciated greatly.
Had a Clydesdale wearing studs stomp on my foot, took the nail off the big toe. Took a year for the new nail to grow in, but it wasn't really firmly attached to the nail bed. While standing barefoot on my concrete basement floor, I dropped a frozen trout on that toe, and the nail lifted off the nail bed, but stayed attached. It's been two years and three months since the original nailectomy, and I think all evidence will be gone by Christmas.
After the initial trauma to the toe healed, I didn't have any problems having no nail. It was just kinda ugly for a while.
