Whatever you do--and I really mean this-- DO NOT put a cotton ball on the
nail bed!! Yes I speak from experience. I was washing a big TB and he stepped
on my bare toe...took off the nail. Stupidly I put a cotton ball on it with a
bandaid to protect it. Came time to hange it...yeowww....took weeks to pick
off that cotton ball...strand by strand!
And...as long as we are talking toes...I rode with a broken toe at the last
ride. I'm so macho I scare myself <g>!
