Everyone seems to know someone in a comma. God, this sport is too dangerous!
:o) Seriously, has there EVER been ANY safety precaution taken with regard
to ANYTHING that made insurance premiums go DOWN? More simply put, have they
EVER gone down? And speculation on how much higher they might have gone is
ludicrous. Now, I have counted 34 people stated to be in commas or other
vegetative states just in this past few days of discussion........which
leads me to believe all of this anecdotal evidence is rather sketchy. I've
been around horses for quite a long time. Never knew ANYONE who wore a
helmet until recently as I've gotten into the endurance world, and never knew
ANYONE with a serious head injury, let alone becoming comatose! Could it be
that a previous post was right........better riders (and I am not necessarily
claiming to be one) have less need of a helmet? But back to the insurance
issue - to claim that my riding without a helmet is increasing your premiums
with not a shred of evidence to back up the claim says to me that it is a
specious argument postulated because there is no other way you can try to
foist your opinions on me and persuade me to behave as you do! :o) Sorry,
that is just the way I see it. Like your helmet? Ride in it! I won't make
up stories about famous movie stars who are now quadriplegic after a fall
with a helmet on and how, if it were me, I would've rather not had the helmet
on, crushed my skull, and been done with it.............
