    Everyone seems to know someone in a comma.  God, this sport is too dangerous! 
     :o)  Seriously, has there EVER been ANY safety precaution taken with regard 
    to ANYTHING that made insurance premiums go DOWN?  More simply put, have they 
    EVER gone down?  And speculation on how much higher they might have gone is 
    ludicrous.  Now, I have counted 34 people stated to be in commas or other 
    vegetative states just  in this past few days of discussion........which 
    leads me to believe all of this anecdotal evidence is rather sketchy.  I've 
    been around horses for quite a long time.  Never knew ANYONE who wore a 
    helmet until recently as I've gotten into the endurance world, and never knew 
    ANYONE with a serious head injury, let alone becoming comatose!  Could it be 
    that a previous post was right........better riders (and I am not necessarily 
    claiming to be one) have less need of a helmet?  But back to the insurance 
    issue - to claim that my riding without a helmet is increasing your premiums 
    with not a shred of evidence to back up the claim says to me that it is a 
    specious argument postulated because there is no other way you can try to 
    foist your opinions on me and persuade me to behave as you do!  :o)  Sorry, 
    that is just the way I see it.  Like your helmet?  Ride in it!  I won't make 
    up stories about famous movie stars who are now quadriplegic after a fall 
    with a helmet on and how, if it were me, I would've rather not had the helmet 
    on, crushed my skull, and been done with it.............
