Ridecamp: [RC] ENOUGH about helmets - How about a truce

Can someone declare a truce on the topic of wearing a helmet?

People who wear helmets will wear helmets (include other body protectors),
and those who don't, won't.  NOTHING, and I mean nothing any of us can say,
will change that.

By now, some of you know that I'm a newbie, both to endurance (and trust me,
neither me, nor my horse are built for it), and an old newbie to riding.
Until recently I thought the only sport was eventing (my wife's love).   I
joined this list to learn about conditioning my horse, conditioning me,
conditioning my hair, electrolytes, exercise, fun, and a sport where you
spend more time in the saddle than you spend cleaning tack.

I've learned a lot, and as soon as I shut up and go back to Lurking, I will
learn more.  But every day I've been bombarded with messages about helmets.
Nothing anyone has said will change my mind.  I doubt anything I can say
will change yours.
