Ridecamp: Re: [RC] Need Bail, quick

I was waiting to find a dead body on my ride today as well. I got above town
into the foothills and there is a helicopter making circles. Circle, circle
above my head. Now I am thinking great, probably looking for something or
someone. Hope I don't find them first. I keep going, not another human in
sight. Helicopter still overhead. Am now scanning the brush and keeping my
eyes open. 
A little farther down the trail it widens and cuts across a road. Now two
police cruisers with flashers on and cops crawling all over. I decide to go
down the street toward my house instead of continuing in the mountains. On
my way down the street several more cruisers fly by at about 75 miles an
hour with flashers on and no sirens.
I've not heard anything on the news yet, and here in SoCal too many kids
have been missing lately. I sure hope it was much ado over nothing. I live
on the border of the National Forest and there is so much land with nothing,
seems like they are always finding bodies or marijuana farms, like the 10
acre spread they found about 20 miles away last week.
Just another interesting day on the trail.

Hey BTW, I am doing my first 50 next Saturday. How much or little riding do
you guys do in the 10 days or so leading up to a ride??? I went for an easy
6 miles today, figured I would do another short one on Weds. I did about 30
last Thursday. AM I on target???
