Re: [RC] Non-Arab horses - Rides 2 Far

I started out on Apps and was determined to get one that was appropriate
for endurance. My first was 16 hh and plenty of legs, fast walk, etc...
but he thought anything past 25 miles was a total bore. (This after
spending his whole life trying to prove to me he *never* got tired!)
Next I spotted (excuse the pun) the coolest little Indian Pony looking
App. He was about 14.2, very handy, light muscled and would go ANYWHERE.
I bought him. One problem. Once he got on my feeding plan (unlimited
hay) plus grain he turned into a typical QH build. So...beware light
bodied horses who are actually heavy bodied horses somebody's been saving
grocery money on.
