    Tell you what, Barbara - I've preridden that section of the trail on a fresh horse during daylight and it's terrifying. I've ridden it on a well warmed up, calm horse during daylight and it's *still* terrifying! I have never liked riding a horse across or - worse - straight down a steep hill, Tevis or anywhere.
