[RC] Wearing Eazy boots vs shoes - kit kat

Ok, yes I may be rehashing, but my question is not which is better. Mine
is, IF I did buy a 4 set of eazy boots. How LONG would they last. I am
trying to figure out if it is worth my time to have shoes put on, Or, if I
should go out and purchase a 4 set of eazy boots. My gelding right now is
getting his feet restructured(I knew he needed work on his feet when I
bought him) but not to this extent. I had this farrier out....just to try
him, he was a rude guy, insulted my horse, and only could get one shoe on(my
horse was just dancing around) So I got back to my old farrier, and he
finds a quatercrack in the heel that this guy missed. So, My money is
draining.......good thing I got a raise at work last week:) But, we pulled
the shoe, and my new farrier did some good work on him, BUT his fronts are
way more sensitive then his backs. So, I wonder, If I got trims, and just
put front eazy boots on for every ride, and use back ones only if im riding
on hills, or really rocky areas, how long they would last. Im trying to
think of this for money wise.... A set of 4 shoes every 8 weeks is $100. A
set of 4 eazy boots, $300(with all taxes, im in canada). Trims are only
$25. So, If they lasted for over 36 weeks, im then starting to save money.
so, if they last for over 36 weeks at riding average(not to this point
yet) 7 miles a day, would they last that long. If anyone out there know the
question to this........any info would be helpful. Also, So I do not wear
down my backs, SHOULD I just ride in all 4 eazy boots, OR, only ride with
them on the backs for really rocky areas... thanks for any help that can be
given.
