Re: [RC] USET Announces Squad For The 2002 World Equestrian Games Endurance Squad - Rides 2 Far

WOO HOO! Looks like a great squad. I remember when I didn't think much
of the "team" aspect of international competition, but as the rewards for
recklessness increase for individuals, I like the team aspect where the
conservative approach dominates. Congrats Heather & Red...I think that
one was a "gimme" so long as he stayed sound. He was awsome in VT. I was
glad to see someone who had rotten luck in VT have their luck turn
around. Poor Cia Reis had one of the best looking horses there and he got
tangled in a metal corral a day or two before the Pan Ams and didn't get
to start. Cool to see Steve Rojek's horse "Finally" make it. What a
perfect name. He bred that horse (may have bred its dam...I think?...
sold it and it won ROC? Saw him riding that horse along nice and slow
*years* ago in GA. What patience...and it FINALLY pays off. :-) Congrats
to all. We'll be pulling for you!
The teams sometimes print a bio of each rider to help them get to know
each other on their team web site. I wish they'd forward them to RC so we
can read them. I'd like to know more about the riders I'm not as well
aquainted with.
