I use them all the time and Gabriel completed a 50 mile ride at Bryce XP in
2001 wearing them.  I do wrap with something if I'm riding more than 10
miles, cuz sometimes they rub a little (I have never had any bad rubs with
them).  They come with a 6 mos warranty, which is great for those of us
doing alot of miles.  Last year they replaced 2 pairs for me that had worn
out before 6 mos, they both had a few hundred miles on them.  They never
fall off.  I haven't used them on wet terrain, so I can't say how well
they'd work in those conditions.  Overall, I've been very happy with them.
