As far as I know, all you'll need are a Coggins and health certificate.
California doesn't have brand inspections. I always travel with a copy of my
horses' registration papers showing me as the registered owner - just in
case. You may have trouble bringing your out-of-state hay into California.
California won't let much of anything from out of state in - fruit, veggies
for human consumption or hay for horses. But...you may it strike it lucky,
especially if you explain that you are going to a horse event far away from
all feed stores. Maybe other Oregonians will tell you what they've
experienced. The State Drug fees are collected at each ride. Sometimes a
drug tester is at a ride walking around looking for horses to collect urine
samples from.
