    not true - they are two distinctly different sports, given the dimensions of the fields, equipment - rules are different, etc. Sorry :) just HAD to poke my nose in - played varsity baseball in HS because I couldn't stand softball - ball as TOO big, we didn't get to slide, and the GIRLS - WHHOOAAAA!
